A DAY AT THE RACES

Here's what to expect at Ffos Las Racecourse

we look forward to welcoming you

If you’re looking for an exciting day at the races with friends, want to thank your clients and colleagues with a treat, or have a fun family day out then Ffos Las Racecourse is the ideal place. We welcome visitors under the age of 18 to come racing for free, as long as they’re with a paying adult and offer concessions for over 60s, students and emergency services personnel. Gates generally open 2 hours before the first race and there are usually 6 or 7 races per fixture. Please note: There is no cash machine on-site, so please bring cash with you to the Racecourse. Cards are accepted in the bars and for payment of tickets on the gate.

FOOD & DRINK

Blinkers Bar in the main Grandstand offers hot and cold food and drinks but there’s always plenty of choice for food and drinks on-site throughout the day, from something warm and hearty, to a light and tasty snack, so we're sure you'll find something that everyone will enjoy. Food and drink cannot be brought in to the racecourse. Bag searches are carried out and any visitors found bringing items in will be asked to consume or dispose of the items before entering.

COURSE PLAN

Ffos Las Racecourse is easy to navigate but we thought it may be helpful to take a look at the layout before you arrive. On feature days we have additional facilities, which you will be guided to with extra signage on the day.

GUIDE TO RACING

If you’ve not been to the races before, it’s sometimes difficult to know what you need to do, where you need to do it and what happens when you win.

DRESS CODE

Ffos Las Racecourse does not operate a strict dress code for general admission, but would ask all customers to wear smart, casual clothing, but be mindful to dress for the weather. The dress code policy for hospitality areas is smart casual, which excludes ripped or torn jeans, trainers and rugby or football shirts. Our feature and premium fixtures gives you the opportunity to get into the theme of the day and you may want to get dressed up. Ladies Day and Night are the ideal racedays to really let your imagination run wild, with prizes for Best Dressed Lady, Gent and Best Hat!

DIRECTIONS TO FFOS LAS

The closer you get to the time of the first race, the busier the traffic will be, so aim to arrive about an hour and a half before the first race. This will give you time to get to know the geography of the track and check out the racecourses facilities. The action will commence about half an hour before the advertised time of the first race, when the runners will be taken in the pre-parade ring to be saddled up.

ALCOHOL & BEHAVIOUR POLICY

The management and staff at Ffos Las Racecourse want all our customers to have an exciting, fun but most importantly safe time whilst at the races. Please take a look at our policy towards drugs and alcohol.
